Crispy Baked Chicken Parmesan – Easy 20-Minute Dinner!

  • 2 large chicken breasts, halved lengthwise (4 thin cutlets)

  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 1 cup marinara sauce

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh basil, for garnish


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Dip chicken cutlets into beaten egg, then coat evenly in breadcrumb mixture.

  • Place on prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.

  • Spoon marinara sauce over each cutlet, sprinkle with mozzarella, and bake for an additional 3–4 minutes until cheese melts.

  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
