Shrimp Sausage Dirty Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced

  • 2 cups cooked white rice

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 2 celery stalks, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp thyme

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add sausage slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, sauté onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic until softened.

  • Stir in shrimp and cook until pink, about 3–4 minutes.

  • Return sausage to the pan. Add cooked rice, Cajun seasoning, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  • Stir everything together until well combined and heated through.

  • Garnish with green onions and parsley.

 

  • Serve hot and enjoy that Southern kick!
