Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onions and garlic until soft and translucent, then add the chopped mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms are browned.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, cooked bacon, sautéed vegetables, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  5. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Slice and serve with your choice of sides, enjoying the blend of flavors in every bite.
