Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces pasta of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method
 

  1. Prepare the ingredients for breading the chicken.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove the chicken and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. In the same skillet, add marinara sauce and simmer for a few minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Spread half the marinara sauce in a baking dish, layer the chicken, then add the remaining sauce on top.
  10. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the chicken.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. While the chicken bakes, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  13. Combine the pasta with the remaining marinara sauce.
  14. Serve the Chicken Parmesan over the pasta with extra cheese if desired.
