Buffalo Chicken Tenders made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko for extra crunch
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create a seasoned flour mixture.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until well beaten. Set aside.
  4. Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl, ensuring they are ready for coating the chicken.
  5. Take each chicken tender, dredge it in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it thoroughly with breadcrumbs. Repeat for all chicken tenders.
  6. Arrange the coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced apart for even cooking.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tenders are golden brown and cooked through, flipping them halfway through for even crispiness.
  8. While the chicken is baking, mix the buffalo sauce and melted butter in a bowl to create a rich dipping sauce.
  9. Once the tenders are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the buffalo sauce mixture until evenly coated.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, and enjoy your homemade buffalo chicken tenders!
