Delicious Christmas Tree Cinnamon Rolls for Holiday Cheer

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 1/4 tsp
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm milk and sugar.
  2. Combine the flour, melted butter, egg, and yeast mixture in a bowl.
  3. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare the cinnamon filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  5. Roll out the dough and spread the cinnamon filling evenly over it.
  6. Roll the dough into a log and cut into rolls.
  7. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow the rolls to cool slightly and prepare the icing.
  10. Drizzle the icing over the rolls and serve warm.
  11. Arrange rolls in a Christmas tree shape if desired for presentation.
