Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle maker with cooking spray or oil.
  6. Pour an appropriate amount of batter into the preheated waffle maker, typically about ½ to ¾ cup, depending on the size of your appliance.
  7. Close the waffle maker and cook according to its instructions, usually about 4-5 minutes, or until steam is no longer released.
  8. Carefully remove the waffle and repeat until all batter is used up.
  9. Serve immediately with your choice of toppings like maple syrup, whipped cream, or berries.
