Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • Optional: herbs or spices e.g., garlic powder, dried oregano

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C)
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the shredded cheese, milk, melted butter, and egg.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, and stir until just combined.
  5. If desired, fold in any herbs or spices at this time.
  6. Transfer the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Slice and serve warm, or store for later.
