Rich and Creamy Clam Chowder for Home Cooks

This creamy clam chowder balances rich flavors and tender textures, making it a comforting choice for cozy gatherings or a soothing meal on chilly days.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups of chopped fresh clams
  • 4 slices of bacon chopped
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 cups of diced potatoes
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 3 cups of clam juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onions and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
  3. Incorporate the diced potatoes, clam juice, and bring to a simmer.
  4. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  5. Add the clams and heavy cream, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and stir in fresh parsley just before serving.
