Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Taco shells corn or flour
  • Fresh toppings: avocado cilantro, salsa, or lime

Method
 

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add chopped onion and minced garlic.
  2. Once the onions are translucent, add the rinsed chickpeas and black beans.
  3. Sprinkle in the cumin and smoked paprika, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the mixture for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
  6. Assemble the tacos by spooning the filling into crunchy taco shells.
  7. Top with fresh ingredients such as avocado, cilantro, and salsa, or a squeeze of lime.
  8. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.
